Biography

Alireza Ghahremani is an Iranian jazz guitarist, composer, and music producer based in Iran. He began his musical journey as a child, learning classical music before exploring Iranian traditional music, starting with the violin during his school years and switch to Classical Guitar in age of 13. Over time, his artistry evolved, leading him to embrace new directions in jazz and world music. His compositions are deeply influenced by Iranian folk culture, poetry, and storytelling, interwoven with the vibrant rhythms of Latin jazz.
Alireza released his debut album, “ZARANJEE,” by Vaak Records at October 2024. On this record he collaborates with renowned international musicians, including Amir Darabi on Piano (Iran), Patrick Simard on drums (Canada), Kan Yanabel on Percussion (China) Arif Mirbaghi on Bass (Iranian-Canadian), Mahan Mohammadi on Trumpet (Iran).
ZARANJEE was nominated by Beehype as one of the “Best Albums of 2024” from Iran, selected among entries from 81 countries around the world.
In 2018, Alireza and his band, Trio-Re were invited to perform at the Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF2018) in India, where their performance was highly praised by audiences and the press.
In 2016, he completed an online course in jazz improvisation with the legendary Gary Burton through the Berklee College of Music.
He collaborates with several music ensembles, including Trio-Re, Zeemaa, Vineh, and the Jazz House Ensemble. Alireza also has extensive experience composing music for film and theater, as well as conducting music workshops. In addition to his compositional achievements, Alireza has dedicated many years to teaching music, inspiring and mentoring countless students. His work as an educator reflects his commitment to nurturing talent and preserving cultural heritage.
